Hybrid Systems are fairly common, taking the best of both Hard Coat and EIFS Systems, and making a system that is more adapt to our climate. It allows for mass expansion, and is very forgiving in a cold climate area. It is a procedure in which a hard brown coat is colored with an elastomeric color coat. The cost is a little higher, but the finished product is far superior, and will last quite a bit longer. This procedure varies from one contractor to another. All doors and windows are left with a 3/8" gap for caulking purposes.
